What do Braxton Hicks feel like?!

I'm 35 weeks and twice today my bump has gone totally solid and then relaxed again after about a minute... This has not happened before and so I'm wondering if this is Braxton Hicks? Or is it something else?!

I had that loads.

I was told it was Braxton Hicks. :)

Like there was a balloon inside my bump and somebody had blown it up as hard as possible. Bump would go taut and would feel like an outward, unrelenting pressure. Then would just relax again.

That's exactly what it feels like Tyrion, what a good description! Thank you!

My bump would feel very solid too - and change shape - a bit like 2 bumps Confused for about a minute. Totally painless - but bump did the same thing during labour, except this time vvv painful !!

My stomach went completely rigid, squeezed, then relaxed and I was able to move again.
I was half way across a side street in W1 and a blackcab driver tooted at me to get out of the way! Thankfully I was able to do a recognisable hand gesture and he laughed and drove off.

Ha ha greenhill! I got the first one when I was driving and had a mini panic! Now I know what they are I can relax a bit when they happen Smile
