Marking place as I am also looking. It's getting a bit parky

I posted about this the other day! I got a FAB pregnancy parka from H&M, look on their website (it's the only one!). Cheap and would be good thru to Novemberish I reckon. Sorry cant link to my thread as am on phone.

I'm due in October, but if I was due later in winter I'd get a coat from Seraphine or TopShop. Great choices there right now. I ordered a Seraphine one actually (returned cos was too big), it was really nice quality.

I'm also due October and am in London, where it's been flipping chilly today!

I just got a total bargain on preloved.co.uk

you might have to wait a while to find what you want, but there's some great stuff out there. I trawled all the major shops online and none of them had anything suitable (due in Feb - live in Scotland - need big winter coat!)

Why, WHY do the big retailers not do naice warm snuggly winter coats for pregnant people?

Secondsop · 30/08/2012 20:06

I bought a coat from La Redoute at the start of my pregnancy intending it to be a non-maternity coat, but the shape of it actually works very well for maternity too because it's a military style with fastenings above my bump.

soandsosmum · 30/08/2012 20:07

Those at seraphine look nice but not big and snug... Due Dec and also looking

FreeButtonBee · 30/08/2012 20:12

I got a fab one in pretty pregnant - a proper maternity duvet coat with a hood! It's lovely and since i am not due til end of Jan i should get lots of wear out of it. It's this one

showtunesgirl · 30/08/2012 20:14

Ebay. I got a great one for a tenner. Wool and in a frock coat style which was very flattering when I was enormous!

Zara1984 · 30/08/2012 20:29

sastra I reckon take a look at the H&M one!! I'm in Dublin where it's usually a bit chillier than London and I think it'll be perfect. Defo makes you look pregnant and not fat. Big enough to fit a snuggly jumper under in October. Forgiving enough (and can be made smaller with the tie/cable bits) to continue to wear post-pregnancy.

It's cotton and not waterproof tho. But I've been wearing it all week and have got compliments on it. It is so comfy and lovely and warm. I luffs it.

Here it is

Oooh and for those pregnant for longer in the winter, I just spotted this on the H&M site - it's new in the past couple of days (yes, I lurk on preggo clothes websites regularly!!). Looks like it'd be the business for most of winter (but not if you live too far North). Padded winter coat

I got a lovely black woollen one from yummymummy.com. I'm due at the start of January and it's lovely and cozy. Haven't needed to wear it yet but it was very autumnal today so think it'll be getting used soon...

DeathMetalMum · 30/08/2012 21:16

I got a lovely one two years ago from New Look a really nice black swing coat really warm too. Im am due a month later than I was last time (March) so will be using this one again. Just need to sew the buttons that came off back on. I paid about £30 for it. Maybe worth looking in there.

Sastra · 30/08/2012 21:20

Ooh, thanks Zara I really like the parkas!

I had a look at new look just and they really dont have many there. I guess it may be worthwhile to wait a couple of weeks if you dont freeze before then. I think I bought my coat closer to October last time and there was definatley a good selection - even in store.
