Ok so I'm 6 weeksish and I can't keep anything down. Not even wàter. Iv tried fruit, and ginger. Everything + anything. It all tastes like crap tbh, and I can't keep it down for more than 3mins? If that.
I feel light headed and sick. Tired and achy.
Please advise :(

If you can't even keep water down, call your GP - they may be able to prescribe something to help (and/or you may need a drip if it continues??).

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 30/08/2012 16:41

(I have absolutely no experience of this, but wanted to tell you to phone your GP incase it shuts in 20 mins! Blush )

Rather stupid doctors surgery!!

Hello,

That's how I was in the early days, don't force yourself to eat if you really can't. But keep some water with you and just sip as and when you can.
If even that is a struggle call your GP tomorrow and they will give you some anti-sickness tablets.
Try nibbling on food rather than overwhelming yourself with meals etc as well.

The yacky feelings will pass eventually... Just horrible while it lasts

Congratulations and good luck with the sickness

Try to keep at least water down other wise you will get dehydrated and will need to go on a drip.

I was the same with my dd and had to go on the drip but everything if fine. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

Emmiedarling · 30/08/2012 20:33

When I was about your stage I had a similar situation. Went to hospital in the end - couldn't hack it and glad I did because I was very dehydrated. Stayed 4 days on a drip and given anti sickness. Felt a lot better til the next bout ! Don't be a martyr with it xx

SammyFirstBaby · 30/08/2012 21:58

I still can't keep anything down!
Its stupid now!
I havnt kept anything down in two days!!
But I'm sure if I go hospital they'll just think I'm being stupid as I'm only just pregnant (6 weeks)

Could try an ice lolly? But call nhs direct maybe if you really haven't kept anything down for two days.

Emmiedarling · 30/08/2012 22:20

As I said, I went in at 6 weeks also. It can be harmful for the baby for you to get dehydrated. It causes lots of keytones in urine...

They won't think you're stupid. And if they did - so what? More important that you get better!

Hope you feel better soon. xx

SammyFirstBaby · 30/08/2012 22:38
