When did you feel any movement?

I'm 16 weeks now and I have thought I've felt a couple of small flutterings but I'm just not sure.

I can't wait to feel some proper kicks.

I have an anterior placenta and I first felt kicks (felt a bit like wind) around 21 weeks. She still doesn't kick as much as other people's bumps though, and I think this is down the the anterior placenta too. Plus her position.

Around 20 weeks for me. Possibly felt something at 18weeks but i think it was more wishful thinking on my part!

Thank you, 20/21 weeks doesn't feel all that far away now! :D

I just keep having jealous moments when someone else feels kicks so early...it's my first so I know I shouldn't expect anything too soon.

I have an anterior placenta and it was just at the end of my 21st week when I felt something that I knew was a kick.

Am 28 weeks now and I feel them all the time (in fact I think baby has the hiccups right now!)

Hello! Ive just started feelin li flutters & movements & im 17weeks!! It seems to happen at nighttime wen ive chilled out! Smile cant wait to feel real kicks! Xx

WinterMymble · 30/08/2012 11:44

I think around 24 weeks. Bu i am now week 39 (!) and since week 30 have been having MASSES of kicks. Like you i was envious of those who had them earlier... But then someone comforted me by noting that at least we get woken up a bit less when the kicking increases later on, and a bit more sleep is probably a good thing :)

Anterior placenta here too - the wind-like feelings at 17 weeks, but no proper kicks until 21 weeks.

kittysaysmiaow · 30/08/2012 14:23

Yes anterior placenta here too, about 21 weeks I think.

HaggisNeepsTatties · 30/08/2012 15:44

Mine is anterior. Had my first definite kick just before 20 weeks, prior to that was feeling things that I thought might be, but could equally have been wind, for a couple of weeks. Since then baby has been a right wriggler though, so doesn't seem to have impacted how much I feel as he/she gets bigger.

BionicEmu · 30/08/2012 16:13

I'm currently 18 weeks with an anterior placenta and haven't felt anything that's definitely baby yet.

Had posterior placenta with DC1 and was definitely feeling movement about now, so this is v frustrating!

BartletForTeamGB · 30/08/2012 21:59

Had an anterior placenta with DS and didn't feel convincing movements until 20 weeks.

15/40 now with DC3 and a posterior placenta and feeling odd flutterings for the last week or so.

BlueMoon74 · 30/08/2012 22:38

23 weeks before I felt anything. Still don't really feel full on kicks. Now 30 weeks. Can be quite worrying at times as they say 'count the kicks' etc..some days I literally feel hardly anything. Just been for a scan tonight, and could see baby's legs moving etc, I could feel nothing! Baby has to be full on wriggling for me to feel the slithering inside! Midwife says everything is fine but it is frustrating not to have the full on feelings everyone else seems to have!

mrswee · 30/08/2012 23:53

I started to feel regualr movements at 22/23 weeks, just bits and bobs before that. This is my second pregnancy and I expected to feel them earlier but the anterior placenta was in the way. I now at 27 weeks feel regular movement and the placenta doesn't seem to effect it at all.
