About six weeks when I started being sick three times a day. Even then I was still petrified I would get to the first scan and be told there was nothing in there, it was all in my head! I highly recommend enjoying not feeling pregnant while you can Smile

WantAnOrange · 29/08/2012 19:27

5 weeks. It was a bit like getting the flu for 3 months

Pinkflipflop · 29/08/2012 19:51

I'm 18 weeks and apart from the vomiting I dont feel pregnant!

plannedshock · 29/08/2012 20:00

I'm nearly 8wks all I have is huge boobs and feeling ravenous! Not going to be too smug yet though it's early days!! Other than that I dont actually feel any different!

beckslovestimmy · 29/08/2012 20:07

The first time it felt real to me was at my 8 week scan, and since then there have been things along the way that make it feel more and more real. There was the 12 week scan, then hearing the heart beat at 16 weeks and the most amazing thing yet was feeling the first movements last night! There is really a baby in there! There are amazing milestones along the way to look forward to Smile

Splinters · 29/08/2012 21:08

mmm, really looking forward to feeling mine move! Every now and then I sit down to try and commune with it, but it is so strange not being able to feel the other person inside me at all.. 14+4 so hoping it'll only be a few weeks.

mummabug · 29/08/2012 21:14

I felt pregnant from 6+ weeks in the sense of being aware of symptoms - humungous, sensitive nipples, nausea and vomiting and completely going off chocolate and rich food (usually I can't get enough chocolate and cakes etc), and generally not being able to eat much before I feel full and sick.

But I don't feel like I've got a growing baby inside me....I guess as others have said it's when you feel the baby, or even when you start to get a bump (This is my second pregnancy). i can't wait for my bump :)

birdbrain17 · 29/08/2012 21:38

I know you probably want symptoms for reassurance but seriously as someone who started symptoms 1.5 weeks after conception and just feel sick, tired and moody the whole time enjoy feeling good while you can! Wink my midwife told me I'll feel better after 12 weeks and I'm 9 weeks now so just have to hold on. I'm not complaining though I got married 6 months ago and was desperate to have children so I managed to persuade my hubby and now I'm just praying everything goes well...

rogersmellyonthetelly · 29/08/2012 21:47

Just this week when I felt the baby move. Before that I knew I was pregnant but was a bit detached and it didn't seem real. Belly popped properly this week aswell so I'm reminded every time I look down or catch sight of myself in a window/mirror

MammyToMany · 29/08/2012 21:52

I'm 18 weeks and don't feel pregnant yet.

I felt exhausted and headachey for ages for more like having a virus than pregnancy. I haven't had any movement yet and am not showing but I think when i do I'll start to feel more pregnant.

Dragonwoman · 29/08/2012 22:00

When the contractions started! Til then nothing - no nausea, tiredness. Placenta was at the front so that cushioned the babies movements. They could have been wind, they weren't that noticeable. Whenever I hear of women who gave birth and didn't know they were pregnant I think that could have been me if my periods hadn't stopped and I was a bit fatter so the bump wasn't so pronounced.

amillionyears · 29/08/2012 22:04

At 3 weeks with all of them, morning sickness started.Didnt bother to confirm it in a hurry,I knew.It was rather nice that for a time only me and DH knew

Whosbrightidea · 29/08/2012 22:05

I did a pregnancy test at 5 weeks (normally irregular periods) because I smelt different. I know it sounds odd. Started feeling sick at about 8 weeks. I smell normal again now having had my LO a little over a month ago.

2beornot · 29/08/2012 22:12

Probably about 22 weeks when I first felt her "flutter". Like others I didn't feel her movements much and except for extreme tiredness at 35+ I felt no different. Certainly at four weeks I thought I must be imagining it. I was dreading the 12 week scan in case i had created it all in my head and there was no baby!!

PollyIndia · 30/08/2012 09:29

My stomach popped at about 14 weeks so I started looking pregnant and getting seats on the tube. I had no sickness before that and did feel tired but was also travelling in India so was out of my normal routine so it was harder to identify it as being pregnancy related rather than just travelling related, if that makes sense.

Then of course when the baby starts moving you feel pregnant. For me, about 19 weeks.

Having said that, I am now 36 weeks and there are times I don't feel pregnant - if the baby is quiet, I just feel like my normal self. If it wasn't for the fact my arm is resting on my huge belly, I could not be pregnant at all!

PeshwariNaan · 30/08/2012 09:33

About 5 weeks. I bloated up like a balloon and began waddling (really). I felt fatter then than I do now at 20 weeks - I found it hard to bend over! Then at 6 weeks, the vomiting hit and boy did I feel pregnant...

kidcrayola · 30/08/2012 09:58

I knew I was pregnant at 3 weeks after I came over all dizzy and sick at my body balance class but even with a positive test it still felt quite surreal.
I guess I've felt pregnant ever since my morning sickness kicked in but I've only felt really like im having a baby since my 12 week scan IYNWIM

Pickles77 · 30/08/2012 10:32

I hate to say think but im 35+6 and i bloody feel it now. My second trimester i felt like marathon man, could take on the world physically (albeit not emotionally)
Now i cant walk the dog around the block without being out of puff, i feel like a old lady with the loo situation (cannot go anywhere out of range of a loo!) Look like a elephant (blooming- BOLLOCKS)

BUT... guess what?

I wouldnt change it for the blooming world!!

WantAnOrange · 30/08/2012 10:37

Pickles! HELLO! can't believe you are 35 (nearly 36) weeks already! Seems daft as I know I'm a week behind you but it's gone so fast. How's your dog now? Cheered up? I've lost track of your thread.

Pickles77 · 30/08/2012 10:38

wantanorange :D hello, i always keep a eye out for you!!! I moved over to lone parents on pregnacy alone thread, we have quite a few of us over there now! Hasnt time flown, how are you doing?
The dog is fantastic thanks, and yes im much much happier :)

PatFigeon · 30/08/2012 10:43

Not yet Sad

I'm 18 weeks. I blame running around after the toddler.

My midwife asked me if I'd felt any movement yet and I had to say no but its because I haven't sat still long enough to concentrate!

Can't wait til I'm a big lumbering whale, then it will seem real Grin

noblegiraffe · 30/08/2012 12:44

I'm 18 weeks and have felt dreadful and exhausted from 4.5 weeks, had two scans and have been feeling the baby move for a few weeks now.

But I didn't actually feel pregnant till I put on some maternity jeans for the first time this morning, looked in the mirror at my suddenly prominent bump and realised that I actually look pregnant.

meedee · 30/08/2012 12:57

I just found out I'm preg - I think I should be around 6 weeks, going to see the doctor today. I think I first starting feeling symptoms around 2 weeks ago when I feel asleep a few times during the day for no random reason (I'm usually a very active person!) and also had back pain. Over the last 3 days I have been feeling very nauseous all day and have gone totally off all kinds of food and the smell of certain foods has made me feel like being sick. Feeling very nerv about being preg!
