Hey,

This may seem like a silly question but here goes.

i've just eaten my dinner, thoughtfully cooked by the husband, and while cleaning up and moving the packaging have realised the date on the packet.

It was one of those Birds Eye Baked to Perfection frozen chicken in garlic butter things. The date on the packet was 'Best Before' 07/12

I know 'Best Before' isn't 'Use By' but just wanted peoples thoughts on this?

I wouldn't worry about it, personally, as long as it was stored correctly etc etc :)

Best before is a guideline, I really wouldn't worry. Some of the flavours might not have been as strong or something - it really shouldn't make you ill.

thanks, much appreciated x
