I'm 25 weeks pregnant and since fairly early on I have felt such an intense love for my DP.

I loved him before but in a more normal way, but now i'm a little obsessed, I love his smell and just looking at his eye lashes and I miss him when I'm at work, I have had a little cry because he is just so amazing. I imagined I would feel like that about my baby but not my DP.

Any one else feel like this? sometimes I feel like I'm going a little crazy!

Hehe I felt like that about the cat so you can feel normal(er) now :) Who cares if its just hormones its just nice so enjoy it - and when baby comes it will be even more so, has made me so happy :) (Still making sure the cat gets lots of hugs though so she doesnt feel left out :P)

OP enjoy it! PFB is one week old and I adore him immensely, I also adore DH more than I ever have before. In fact DH is currently cuddling screaming PFB and I think I am about to melt... Grin

I've had that for much of my pregnancy too honey - but DH is fab so it's not that irrational :o

I'm glad I am not the only one!

I was expecting to be a bit of a nightmare when pregnant, I think my DP was anticipating 9 months of me being grumpy but actually I am a much nice DP since being pregnant. Maybe we will have to plan a small age gap ;)

Ha ha! I feel like this too, more so recently (37 wks).

Just had our first wedding anniversary and I'm even more in love now, and very soppy. DH also seems better looking, even though he's not changed. Just want to hug him and be near to him all the time! He's been looking after me so well since I've been getting big and uncomfortable. It makes me all smiley and teary thinking about it. I know he'll be a great Dad.

I really miss him in the day when he's at work now that I've finished- was gutted last night knowing he'd be off to work in the morning (admittedly partly because I'm bored). I have been sitting wearing his T shirts because nothing else fits anymore they smell of him!

I'm sure there's some kind of, instinctive survival benefit to feeling more connected to your partner round the time of birth though.

Aww we are all so lucky to have great DPs :)

I do hope I keep feeeling like this after the baby is born, I think DP might be a bit sad if I just focus on the baby. I must remeber to have 5 mins of time a day to tell DP how lovely he is.

Mrgereshamster It must be so amazing to see DP cuddling PFB :)
