I used www.boots.com/en/Lansinoh-Lanolin-56g_26481/ Lansinoh]] when I was breastfeeding DS and my nipples got sore, cost around £10 in Mothercare or Boots.

Am pregnant again and nipples already gearing up for feeding and getting a bit tender. I found Tesco nipple cream and it is great! Only cost around £2 and is in the baby section. Would recommend it.

Sorry that link didn't work Blush

Lansinoh

Lansinoh. You can get it on prescription too, which not many people know!

IShallCallYouSquishy · 27/08/2012 17:53

Lansinoh is brilliant stuff. Brilliant for breast feeding too. My DD is 3 months and I'm on 3rd tube so at £10 a month for pain free nipples its well worth it!

Yes, I swore by Lansinoh - you don't have to wash it off, either, which is handy when you've got a yelling newborn who wants to latch on. I always found it practically impossible to get out of the wretched tube, though - it's really thick. Ended up keeping it stuffed down the front of my trousers so it was warm enough to squeeze out.

Thanks for the replies, i sent dh to tesco for some cream and it has actually stopped the urge to rip my very sore nipple off!

will defiantly sort out a prescription when baby is here!

Ah, my nipples are really quite sore and I'm 26 weeks. Is this normal? Can I do something about it?!

Littlemissmagnet · 28/08/2012 08:52

lansinoh totally worth the money and lasts for ages and ages you probably won't need another tube for a while as it is so thick. Which is a pain to get out but all good things take time.I also used to have a warm (not too warm) bath to help my nipples/breasts and other bits especially when I was post natal. Smile
