Not putting on weight while pregnant?

I'm 24 weeks with DC2, and at the moment I weight exactly the same as I did before I got pregnant. BMI was 34 when I got pregnant (and still the same now). I've not been dieting, although I have made an effort to eat more healthily. What's weird is that although I had dreadful morning sickness (all day) until about 18 weeks, I didn't lose a pound, even though I was barely able to keep anything down, but now that I'm not to eating more normally, I haven't put on any weight either...Confused

I'm perfectly happy not to put on weight - pre-pregnancy I was very overweight - and I'm certainly not stinting myself or anything. I am aware now (as my bump is huge compared to the same stage with DC1) that I find I can't eat much at one sitting or I get terrible indigestion, so I may well be eating less. Is this something I should worry about?

By the end of my pregnancy, I was only about 4lbs more than pre preg. I went up about 1/2 around in the first 6 wks due to bloating, then lost it and more through morning sickness then just put on the odd lb here and there as the weeks went on. I couldn't manage to eat much though without feeling very full so I think my food intake was drastically cut, almost like dieting. Mw were never concerned so I wouldn't worry to much

I only gained 8lb all through my pregnancy with polyhydramnios and a 10lb baby. I did syretch a lot though but had little to no weight to lose. Please don't worry as as long as your baby looks healthy you are perfect.

I'm 30 weeks. No weight gain. I did drop a stone in the beginning, and have remained at that weight from my lowest weight at 15 weeks.

I had a starting BMI of 36, it is now 33.

I'm not concerned, I'm a midwife myself, but I do know that I may do what I did first time, which was pile weight on at the end, and afterwards! So I'm not counting my chickens yet! I'm not dieting or anything either, I'm just aware of my weight and will adjust my choices if I need to.

I do not want to have to lose a load after!

It isn't that unusual to not gain weight in pregnancy, although it may seem it!

Thank you all - that's really reassuring. It's just been niggling at me a little bit, and came to the forefront of my mind today when DH told me I looked like I'd lost some weight (with the exception of the already mahoosive bump)...thanks all

I dont weigh myself so I couldnt tell you wrther or not I put on any weight or not. I know generally where I am on the scales. I did weigh myself at around 34 weeks last time as I saw a pair of scales and had put on about a stone compared to my normal weight. Dd was 8lb10oz so I guess I didnt put a great deal of weight on.

I'm 17 weeks and am 1.5 stone lighter than pre pregnancy. Not through trying. I was really sick and I just don't have any appetite so I'm eating what I can but it's a lot less than what I was eating! I had a BMI of 32 at booking in but I've lost nearly half a stone since then so guessing it might be a bit lower now. I'm not too worried, I've had a few scans and baby is fine and it's not like I couldn't do with shedding the weight!!! I wouldn't worry OP, I'd be thrilled!!!

15 weeks and 11lb down on what I weighed the day I found out. My Bmi was 29 though so I can certainly stand to lose a bit of chub. Main cause has been morning sickness and general lack of appetite, together with repeated utis and dental abcess that just won't give up and go away.
