Red itchy boobs driving me crazy

This is a bit embarrassing but has anyone else suffered with itchy boobs? I'm 21 weeks and they are driving me crazy. They are red and itchy and feel hot too. I just want to scratch especially in the morning and evening. Have tried bio-oil and other moisturisers with little effect. Any advice gratefully received.

Itching in pregnancy can also be a sign of Obstetric Cholostasis. When I had it, it started on my boobs.

Let your MW or Dr know, a simple blood test can check for OC.

I'm 25 weeks and suffering badly with itchy boobs so much so they are now red raw as I can't stop scratching again like you I have tried everything, I've been told it could just be the skin stretching but going to speak to midwife just to check x

I had this and spoke to my midwife who tested me for obstetric cholestasis.

Thank you for your replies. The itching has calmed down a bit today but still very red. I've used gallons of rich moisturising cream so maybe that is helping. I've got an appointment with the midwife on Thurs so will get checked out then. I googled obstetric cholestasis and it sounds horrible but quite different to my problem at the moment. Am hoping it will disappear as quickly as it appeared!

I had this and my breasts went scaly and then got big sores on them that bled. It was horrible. I was referred to the breast clinic and they said they had never seen anything like it before but that it was just related to my pregnancy.

I have this problem, though perhaps not as bad as you, OP! it's worse in the sweaty heat as well! I have put it down to more blood flow in my skin making it more sensative, but I have an appointment on thrusday so will make sure to mention it in case it is more serious!

I had an area which was itchy and the skin went a bit lumpy like a thick rash. Sudocrem has helped cool it down, but it seems the only way was to try my best to ignore it and not scratch!

I'm getting sores where my bras are rubbing now though Sad
very painful and achey and sore. Having to go without bra while around the house but can't cope without one at work (obviously!).

not sure what to do about them really Blush
