I've always had eczema somewhere on me since birth and usually can cope with the pain, however i'm now 22 weeks pregnant and over the last month it's been flaring up on my nipple. I thought it was getting better but no.

I had it when i was 17 and was put on very strong steroid cream which i want to avoid this time. I've tried lanoish, vasoline, e45, aquious, cetroban, nipple mostouiser, dermol. And nothing works. I've noticed it getting worse it's cracking, bleeding, discharge and sticking to my clothes ive now got breast pads in i'm feeling sick with pain.

Can't go to drs till Tuesday! Anyone advise anything?

I get excema and found this a massive relief when pregnant/ breast feeding. The streams with lanolin in appear to work best.available in boots and bigger supermarkets

Streams = creams!

Are you sure it's eczema? I wonder if it's worth getting it checked out by a doctor. How does your breast feel otherwise? Tender in any places?

sounds like it could be infected eczema to me. i've had this before when not preg. you need to get gp to give you low dosage steroid cream and potentially some sort of antibiotic if it is infected.

you could go to a chemist and explain your symptons but i'm not sure theyll be able to give you anything over the counter.

Pretty sure its eczema as i remember feeling like this last time and how it looked. I wondered if it was infected. Got some of that avent cream now which has soothed it. Will get a gp app. On Tuesday. Thanks everyone
