Dizzy, sick and blood spotting

Hi there

I'm about 4 weeks pregnant and have been feeling sick (not actually sick but feeling sick), dizzy and have had some blood spotting.

I went to hospital last week and they said all looked okay. However today the blood is red, rather than dark brown as it has been previously. Called hospital and they will see me next week. Feel quite anxious though, I didn't get this with my first baby.

Anyone had this- is it normal?

Hello, if it were me, I would to be honest present myself at a&e tomorrow morning as the blood spotting has changed colour, as next week feels like a long time to wait. I'm assuming you didn't have a scan when you went to the hospital before as it would have been a bit early to see much? I don't want to go into detail in case I worry you unduly but I've had similar symptoms and it didn't end well, but I can't emphasis enough that every case is different and for some women red spotting is normal. Do let us know how you get on, and I hope everything is ok x

Thanks for responding Secondsop- I am sorry to hear that you went through a tough time. I went to the hospital and they have confirmed that all looks normal which is a huge relief. I don't know why but with my second pregnancy I feelmuch more anxious and nervous about everything. Spotting doesn't help with this either!!!

Tweet - I had same & all (touch wood) still fine. It's hard not to worry but apparently it's normal. If you get cramps, think period cramps, head back to A&E
