I have recently had 2 mcs (last one 6 weeks ago), over the weekend I started to show up on FRER tests getting darker but still faint. After a faint, but distinct line, on tuesday I did a CB digi which said preg 1-2 weeks. Just done another CB digi and it has said not pregnant. Does this mean it has gone again?

Devastated!!! what do others think?

Not at all, it just means your wee wasn't very strong! Wait for first morning urine before POAS :)

MiggleMoo · 24/08/2012 12:44

Thank you Fluffy for some hope - i am sitting at work and trying so hard not to cry!!

CB digis are notoriously unreliable, especially if not using first morning wee. Wait for tomorrow morning and try a first response? best of luck x

slovenlydotcom · 24/08/2012 12:50

Another one who agrees with fluffy and is wishing you the best of luck for tomorrow. Morning.

Kelbells · 24/08/2012 12:53

Another one in agreement with fluffy... I didn't get a pregnant with cb digi until few days after positives on amazon cheapies.... And defo first morning urine... Hope it sticks Smile

MiggleMoo · 24/08/2012 12:55

Why would it have said positive 3 days ago - that was midday?? If I guessed how far I was I think it was only four weeks...

"unreliable" means just that, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. So it might have worked 3 days ago and not today. Try to distract yourself for the rest of the day and test again (not with a digi) tomorrow am.

MiggleMoo · 24/08/2012 12:58

P.S. thank you for responding!!! I really appreciate - trying to hold it together at work and your responses make me feel much better.

It depends on the strength of you wee so maybe 3 days ago you'd not drank as much water as you have today. Good luck :)

MiggleMoo · 24/08/2012 15:38

Well it just got really odd. Came home did FRER which came up pregnant, with a significantly darker line than before.

Got the 2 digi tests out my bag to show husband and one was flashing - pregnent / not pregnant back and forth and the other, the display had gone altogether....

I feel happier at the FRER but really confused by the digi tests - aren't results meant to stay static for 24hrs???

OP posts:
BionicEmu · 24/08/2012 15:44

I've never heard of one flashing back and forth before, sort of defeats the point of knowing for definite in words doesn't it!

My CB digis have always gone blank after 12 hours or so whatever the result, I assume the batteries went on them. So that bit's normal anyway.

If FRER came up with a definite positive, then I say congratulations! As others have said, the digi ones can be v unreliable.

Wishing you much luck!

MiggleMoo · 24/08/2012 15:46

Hi Bionic - I know but I only did them about 2-3 hours ago! Very odd.
I am going to remain hopeful and stick to FRER and line ones now on....

Miggle that test sounds abit dodgy to me
Please stay away from tests now, you have got a + and you are pregnant, I understand how you feel after mc, I've had 2 but that is the route to madness, the indicators changed on me when my wee was diluted then you spend hours looking for stories where they've been wrong so you don't know what to believe anyway, the best thing you can do is not test now I know you'll probably ignore this but in the long run you'll find it easier just trying to be positive unless you have a sign something is wrong, the test way as you've seen today will cause you upset unnecessarily just because it's not an accurate science x

MiggleMoo · 24/08/2012 19:42

Thanks Kitty and that is such sound advice. And yes you are spot on I have spent my evening looking for stories which explain my situation! You are right, and I am going to follow this advice. As far as I know at this point in time I am pregnant. My breasts hurt, I am tired and I can smell everything, not sure what else i need to know.

At the end of the day it'll either stick in there or it won't! Thank you. xx

I'm glad it helped, it was only bitter experience last time that made me vow not to do it again as the indicator went down one afternoon then back up the next morning and I thought what am I doing?!?
As you say of its going to stick around nothing you wee on will change it and as I'm sure you know from your experience you get a positive test for weeks after a mc anyway! The test sounded like a dud to me. ( I found the frer much more reliable( so just try your best to stay positive, today you are pregnant so enjoy it! I'm guessing it's what you wanted lol x

MiggleMoo · 25/08/2012 16:37
