Massive tags in baby vests!

I'm starting to wash and organise my baby clothes and I noticed they (esp mothercare ones) have massive labels inside of them. I thought about cutting them out but thought that might make them more itchy, and I wondered what everyone else does?

I always cut them out, as close to the seam as possible

I leave them in, have not had a baby complain yet
If I cut them out, I wouldn't know what size they were

Mothercare ones are always in the side surely? not at back of neck. I have memories of going through baby clothes for DC2 and having to search for the size every time I got to a mothercare one.
