Suddenly EXTREMELY anxious about something going wrong

Hi all

Wasn't expecting it but all of a sudden at nearly 34 weeks I'm feeling really, really worried about something going wrong with my pregnancy/being wrong with the baby - not sure why.

My sis in law and I have pregnancies close together and when she was early days, up to about 24 weeks, she felt like this but then relaxed - I'm feeling worse the longer it goes on.

How can I stop thinking the worst, feel like contacting the MW with every worry (but I don't) I wan't to look forward to her arrival but am pretty scared :(

Stupidly feel like everyone elses new babies have been fine, so mine won't for some bizarre reason. Is this 'normal'?!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I remember feeling like that with ds although can't remember at what point in the pregnancy. I think it is fairly normal and is a mixture of fear of the unknown and crazy pregnancy hormones rushing around!

Easier said than done but try and relax, have a bath, and every time an anxiety hits start thinking about baby names and cute little baby toes and all the good stuff to look forward to :)

Yes! I feel like this too, almost 36 weeks had a few worries recently with spotting and all is fine but I can't help thinking I just want her out so I know she's safe and healthy. I've also started worrying that something will go wrong during labour. Fell down the stairs yesterday (again all fine except my foot/ankle) and I just kept saying to my DH I want her out now so I know she's ok!
