Thought I was 11 weeks - apparently nearer 17?!

Im really shocked and so pleased - just wondering if anybody else has had a six week reduction in their expected pregnancy?!

This is from a doctor taking a look after i told him i was certain I was feeling kicks - he said "no way can you only be 12 weeks" (Im HUGE)

Slightly upset about the amount of boozing I did though....

So did you have your dating scan? Or is the doctor just making a guestimate?

I was in there for something else and made a passing comment about feeling kicks for the past couple of weeks and he asked me how far along I was. He was smirking when I said 11 weeks as I am enormous even for a second timer.....I have a 40" waist (from 29") He could feel my uterus very clearly and said I was at least 16 weeks - by my cycles, that would make me 17 weeks.

Dating scan is on Tuesday. Does feel very odd. But I did have a three day very light period as my "LMP" to it is possible. Just wondering how common it is and if doc has made a mistake.

I had implantation bleeds with both my pregnancies. The first time round I was the same as you and assumed I wasn't pregnant and lots of alcohol was consumed as it was Christmas. Second time round I suspected it was an implantation bleed when the period didn't get any heavier.

I went for my 12 week scab and was 16+5. It was our first a d I presumed a period but must have been an implantation bleed.

I'd wait for your dating scan before getting your hopes up too much. Saw someone recently who the GP sent to the gynae ward with problems as he reckoned she was under 20 weeks. She was term and delivered shortly after.

Could be twins! I could feel my fundus about my pubic bone before 12 weeks. Lo and behold.......

Sorry but you could be 12, when I was 16wk I was huge and had strong kicks and the mw said i must be 24wk so I had a private scan costing £250-I was still 16wk

celestia you've worried me slightly, I have been able to feel my fundus for a couple of weeks and I'm 11 weeks tomorrow! I have also got HG/ 24 hour nausea! Oooooh cripes - scan on Thursday!

I've had 2 sets of twins and was in maternity clothes with both sets by 10 weeks :-/

wee update: Jeeez, im 13 weeks after all that. Very disappointing. im enormous with pelvic bone pain and ive already stuck on a stone. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek.

but there´s one. hes healthy so far and that´s what counts!
