When do stretchmarks show .......??

I am 30 weeks pg and currently have not seen any stretchmarks ( that were not there before!) I have been using bio-oil religiously and all the books/mags I have read say you would start to see them around 28-30 weeks . Does this mean I am lucky or should I just not believe everything I read .................???

34 weeks now and none yet but I'm expecting them any time soon as I got loads on my hips as an 11/12 year old when I hit puberty. Have been using oil since week 12, and twice a day recently but I'm pretty sure it's just luck/genetics really. I just like to feel pro-active!

I feel cheated reading this. Both my DC were under 7lb, DD was only 6lb 7 and I still got stretch marks. I think it's to do with where they are as both mine were engaged for weeks and all my stretch marks are on the bottom of my tummy.

I got stretchmarks at the top of my thighs between my legs as the baby crowned and stretched it all out
