Just found out I am pregnant with my second child. Different dad. it's a new relationship. I have one 5 year old daughter.

Suddenly the reality has hit home, and I am thinking - WTF have I done. I live in France and work in Switzerland. I have my life sorted as a single parent. All childcare, very good salary, just bought a house. I am with a French guy he is the same age as me, we've been together 6 months and I am pregnant. I was happy at first, but now I am thinking am I going to be 43 baby in one hand running off to work, stress, teething & tantrums. I have a nice quiet life, my daughter is now 5.5 and great, bilingual, intelligent and I am rocking the boat.

Any other older mothers out there? would love to hear your experiences.

Not an older mother (I'm 32) but similar situation. DD1 is 6, DC2 on way in Jan with new partner, very new relationship, conceived while using copper coil. Really liked how my life was going and really hadn't thought I'd ever go round again on the baby front.
No idea how it's all going to work but I'm lucky to have some good friends (nearby) and supportive family (further away) and DP is involved and excited as it's his first child that he never really expected either...
Panic sets in occasionally - all I can do is cross my fingers, hope for the best and smile when I get kicked from the inside Wink. Good luck!
