hey, am 33 weeks with twins this week and starting to organise wardrobe and stuff.

i've got 9 small newborn babygros - do you think that is enough? doesn't seem that much to me for twins but want to check i am not crazy before buying more.....

I've got about 10 bigger ones (one month and big asda newborns)

I am 29+2 and also expecting twins.

I bought (and was given)...

8 early baby vests & 10 sleepsuits (this is up to 7lbs)
10 newborn vests and 10 sleepsuits
14 0-3 months vests and 14 sleepsuits

I have a combination of shirt sleeved and long sleeved vests.

It really depends on what type of babies you get! My first went through several each day because he was a liable to be sick on them, but he also grew very quickly, so never had any in the new born size, just went straight into 0-3 months. DD, on the other hand, we had to buy 2 packs of vests (10 in total) and sleep suits (6) in newborn size because she was so much smaller, but this was plenty as she just wasn't sick.

If you have a big Tesco or Asda near you, you'd probably do as well to wait and buy more if needed once you've met your babies!

I think a few more would be a good idea. If you have a sicky baby you could get through a few a day. It also depends on how often you want to be worrying about emptying the washing basket! (and I'm guessing with twins it's going to be lower on the list of priorities?) With two other DCs and hubby my washing machine never seems to stop, but I'd still like enough spares in the drawer just I'm case one day I don't get around to putting a load in, and you can almost guarantee that will be the day that baby has an explosive nappy and is quite sicky lol.
I'm 26 weeks with DC3 and this time I've got about 15 sleepsuits and 10 vests in newborn. I find it's always best to keep a couple of spares in the change bag just in case (with dc1 I often forgot to pop anther in there after I had used it, then got caught short).
But like previous poster said, you can always pop out and buy more once the babies are here if you find you need them Smile

At least 3 a day each. If anyone offers you any secondhand ones, grab them. My sil forced loads onto me before my first dc and I took them so as not to be ungrateful but I was so glad I did.

hey, thanks for replies! think will buy a few more then. but as you say, it's not as if i'll never be allowed in a shop again once they're here. although leaving the house may be a little more tricky.....

You can get them in tescos and Sainsburies. Just send your dh out to buy some more if necessary. You'll probably get some as presents anyway. Most friends who are mums are sensible about gifts and know about these things especially when it's twins
