Can anyone help or recommend any products I can use for pregnancy acne. I'm
21 weeks pregnant and I'm
Suffering with awful acne esp on my chin. I found a number of products but I don't know if they are pregnancy safe esp products with active ingredient sulphur..... Does anyone know?

Help.

Dual (benzoyl peroxide gel) is safe and has really helped me. Zineryt (topical antibiotics) also safe i hear but not tried them myself.

I can't see why sulphur would be an issue if it is topical but best to ask a doctor.

I was prescribed zineryt and used it for a couple of weeks but found it very chemical-ly smelling and really didn't like it, so can't say if it's any good as didn't persevere. Quinoderm (Benzoyl peroxide) has worked best for me. I've also found my diet has a huge effect on my skin, definitely worse if I eat bread and sugary foods.

Just wanted to sympathise, am 12 + 4 and my skin is hideous. It's painful. A friend recommended Vichy Normaderm products for a less medicated option. Be interested to hear what works for you - sadly I don't think I will get a pregnancy glow :-(

I had awful ance, and, unfortunately it hasn't gone even though my DS is nearly a year. My doctor, midwife and hv didn't recommend any treatments as although they haven't been proven to harm the baby, it's hasn't been proven they don't either IYSWIM. I used rose based products which helped.

Now I'm on long term antibiotics. I hope your skin clears up better than mine. :)

I get awful acne the second i don't take the pill, fortunately i don't get it on my face but my back, arms and shoulders are covered in awful ugly spots.

Its a bit odd but every day i use clean and clear blackhead clearing face wash its green this works really really well to keep them at bay you could try that and see if it helps you

msharma I forgot to say, drinking loads of water really does seem to help (I know that is always the advice but it seems especially true for my pregnancy skin) Basically try to keep yourself as hydrated and regular as possible.

Drink lots of water and stop eating sugar, reduce your carbs massively too.
