My baby seems to have grown quite a lot the past few days, I feel big and quite immobile, when I go upstairs I sound like a wheezy old man... and I am wishing the hot weather away. I can't stop eating sugary stuff. I am also starting to worry (a bit) about giving birth.

How is it going for everyone else?

I'm due 1st October... Not feeling too bad at the moment generally, but the hip pain is really starting to get to me. I also think I'm single-handedly doubling Gaviscon's profits Hmm

I have been feeling great so far and loving being pregnant, but suddenly I am bigger and more tired... I am usually chained to my desk and drive to work, so pretty much doing nothing. My mum came for a few days to visit and I took her out a lot so I did way more than I usually do, maybe that's why I noticed.

I'm 33 weeks on Sunday, and feeling pretty much as you do Frog. I look down at the bump and can't believe I have another 7, possibly 9 weeks of growth. AAArrrrggghh - have nightmares about having to squeeze out a gargantuan baby Shock. Also got a very sweet tooth at the moment. Nothing much in the house, so I just ate a whole tin of peaches Blush. On the whole my pregnancy (touch wood) has gone smoothly, but in the last couple of weeks been getting some aches and pains and feeling more like a 60 something. Hey ho I guess 7-9 weeks really isn't that long.......

LondonMidlandScotland · 22/08/2012 20:49

Yep, snap. Due 18th oct and last couple of weeks I've really noticed how tired I'm getting and how much of an effort things are. Baby is measuring large too and this panicks me!

GrassIsntGreener · 22/08/2012 20:53

33 weeks here, baby will be small though and I'm not massive, but still feeling big. Each week now I seem to feel so much bigger!

EarnestDullard · 22/08/2012 20:55

33+4 here. Hot, heavy, tired, awful heartburn, short of breath, can't get comfortable, waking every 2 hours or so in the night to change sleeping position or pee. And I'm huge! Dread to think what size I'll be in 7 weeks. I'm outgrowing most of my maternity clothes but don't see the point in spending much more money on new ones at the point.

Funny that a couple of you have mentioned a sweet tooth as well; today I've eaten a Wispa, a pack of Reese's peanut butter cups, and a Cadbury's caramel. And a handful couple of jelly babies. Oh, and a few white chocolate buttons too Blush

EarnestDullard · 22/08/2012 20:56

new ones at this point, that should read.

I have had sooooo much sugar for weeks and months and I am feeling guilty about it, I thought I would go healthy and eat lots of green, but I have failed, badly. I was planning to walk to work, swim... but I have been a total slob instead.

erk, just realised my slobiness may have resulted in having a back to back baby. MUST get off the sofa and get moving!

Hi, I'm due end of October and bump seems to have had a sudden growth spurt....am looking massive suddenly, am sinking enough gaviscon for everyone and am starting to feel pretty immobile. The simplest things of are becoming fairly impossible! Bump was measured as big this week.....I'm hoping it's going to even itself out over the coming weeks. Eeek!!

nenehooo · 26/08/2012 22:14

I could have written all of your posts!!! Exactly the same here - lugging myself around and grunting... Yes, GRUNTING like an old woman when getting up and down. The shame!!!
I'm a teacher so currently on summer holidays and I'd planned to have the whole house sorted before I went back, but the majority of my days have been spent on the sofa with a severe lack of energy or inclination to do anything... Leading to many guilt feelings and probably a much more stressful last few weeks of pregnancy... Aargh! Am also eating far too much sweet stuff and having trouble sitting at times due to back pain. My friend just donated a birthing ball and after a 3 hour round trip in the car yesterday, bouncing around on it was absolute bliss! And apparently good for getting baby in right position - so would highly recommend!!! 7.5 weeks to go... Hopefully Smile

frogalou · 27/08/2012 11:47

I need to do sanding and decorating before the little one arrives... it's a struggle. I don't like doing DIY for a start and I struggle moving around, I feel like an upside tortoise. Ah well, I have weeks on the sofa (feeding her hopefully) to look forward to when my baby is here :)

I'm 33 weeks today and super stressed about everything. I've recently moved house and now I'm no longer registered with a hospital, I have no anti-natal classes booked, and nothing is bought for the baby yet - we haven't even figured out where he is going to sleep. My partner is very calm about it and just thinks it will all work out. Of course I now it will, but it is just not how I imagined things! Sad

celebmum · 28/08/2012 08:45

I'm also 33wk this wk, due 17th oct.. Ditto what everyone else says re suddenly feeling bigger! Lots of movement from
Baby too, and hiccups! Im also drinking gavisgon like its going out of fashion but no sweeties for me... Bacon frazzles all the way!! Grin

kellyjayne100 · 28/08/2012 08:53

I am 31+2 and OMG I am dreading the next few weeks. I am already at bursting point. I am only little and the only thing growing is my bump and I can barely hold it up any more :o Roll on October before I literally roll away hahaha x

frogalou · 28/08/2012 09:20

34 weeks tomorrow.... time to think about hospital bag which is a bit daunting... get baby's room ready... although everyone is saying that your baby sleeps with you to start with so no real rush there.

Scandy, I have no baby stuff apart from what friends gave me and what I got on ebay. I don't think you need too much to start with.

Exciting times!

ARGH I'm 33 weeks this week too and u sound like me :) due 18th October. Feeling massive and have a foot stick permanently in my left rib. Went to a wedding yesterday and the favours were little jars of sweets. When they cleared the room out I went scrabbling around the other tables to see what leftovers I could scavange Blush
Two days left at work tho....

SlightlySuperiorPeasant · 28/08/2012 11:38

I'll be 33 weeks on Saturday (due 20th October). So far I've felt really well, if a bit grumpy at times. It feels like the baby keeps sticking her fingers in my cervix, which is rather uncomfortable though! I also can't touch the floor without discomfort, which is a bit of a bind with a toddler in tow.

I'm channeling birth-thought panic into listening to my natal hypnotherapy CD so it feels like I'm doing something positive :o

sammyleh · 28/08/2012 11:57

I'm with you ladies.... 32 weeks and feeling like a lump and a half! So suddenly tired and all those aches and pains are twice as bad. We're in the home stretch though and it feels loads more real now I'm counting down weeks as single digits. Packed my hospital bag this weekend, washed baby clothes and blanket that we're taking for her too.

Nutella is my best friend at the moment as well which is not so good.

Also starting to worry about the birth frogalou but going to download loads of chilled tunes for my iPod this weekend and put a playlist together to help with breathing and just getting into some kind of relaxing rhythm.
