I'm just looking for ideas of what snacks to keep in my bag...

Feel nauseous if I go for more than an hour without food but as I don't want to end up huge (like last time) I need to think of some healthy snacks.

Got dried fruit and nuts but any other ideas??

Flapjack, snack a jacks, fruit, raisins?

MrsPaynie · 22/08/2012 18:20

Alpen light bars were my favourite snack to conquer nausea in the early weeks

KatoPotato · 22/08/2012 18:24

I used to carry oatcakes about with me. Chocolate trackers too...

Apples. Bananas. Any other fruit that won't get bashed in bag.
Cut up carrots/ celery/ peppers/ etc (in a zip-lock bag or small tupperware).
Twiglets.
Slices of malt loaf, wrapped in foil or cling film.
Nakd bars (the small ones - although they pack quite a lot of calories, as do dried fruit and nuts, btw).

Bread sticks. Sainsburys sell a multipack of little bags of mini breadsticks.

If you like bananas, get a banana guard.

Cheesy oatcakes. I lived on them when I had morning sickness.

Nightfall1983 · 22/08/2012 19:43

Breakfast biscuits. Rather fattening really but dry and good for nausea as well as full of vitamins and fibre...

cupcake78 · 22/08/2012 19:52

Dry bitesize cereal, mini oatcakes, apple segments, dried banana slices, dried apricots/prunes, an almond here and there, a bottle of lucozade (no more than a mouthful each hr). I'd cut a sandwich up into 6 and it would take me 2-3 hrs to eat it (and keep it down), Olives.

Mini Cheddars. I could eat almost nothing but these for most of my second pg.

DeathMetalMum · 22/08/2012 21:55

Yogurt drinks? they wouldn't last much longer than half an hour to an hour in this weather. Im usually hungry by then anyway. This time and last time Im due in the spring so most of pg was winter they last a little longer then :) .

Nairns ginger oatcakes. I won't be surprised if this baby IS an oatcake, I ate so many.

MormonMummy90 · 22/08/2012 22:01

I too lived on mini cheddars during my pregnancy :)
