I'll be taking a trip to friends wedding when I am 38 weeks pregnant in the middle of September.

I'm beginning to think I'm made for making such a trip (we live in Manchester) but quite a few friends will be there, plus other friends live an hour away and we are all there from Friday to Sunday, and everybody is at least off work on the Monday so should something happen, there is a reasonable support network in place (have I convinced myself yet? Confused )

Is there anybody here who can give me a bit of information re which hospital to call should something happen? I am low risk/mw led (booked in for second home birth) if that makes any difference!

Thanks.... And let's bet the baby will be 2 weeks late after all this!

The hospital in Eastbourne has a maternity unit. From memory it's not in the centre of town but to the North/East. Number lifted off the maternity page of web (01323) 417400.

Next furthest away is Hastings (St-Leonards on Seas) or Brighton?

Thanks Rugbugs I had a look online but there seemed to be three and wasn't sure which was the best one to approach, if necessary.

I think we're staying closest to this main one... I know it's not near Brighton anyway (should really do better with UK Geography!!)
