Went to bed last night and went to toilet thinking i need a wee really badly only to find i didn't but when i wiped I noticed a load of mucus. Also last night and this morning I have a bad pain in pelvis area feels like i'm been pushed and pulled on the inside. any ideas what this could mean I've still got 9 weeks to go before due date.

Sounds like a show.

If you're worried - call your MW

Good luck

Speak to your MW. Mucus plug can renew itself over the pregnancy and it's big. Maybe nothing but wouldn't hurt to be checked. Grin

ok thank you for your help, I wondered if it was a show but wasn't sure, with my 1st preg i was already in labour at hospital by time i had a show then within minutes my waters broke. so not slept much last nite with worrying about going into labour early.

How is it this morning? Any more mucous and is it bloody? I would speak to the MW.

My friend had the exact same thing happen with her DS when she was 31w pg. We were actually due to go out for dinner but she text me saying she was in lots of pain so was having a bath instead. She experienced this pain for 24 hours before doing anything about it, she thought it couldn't possibly be labour so tried dealing with it using paracetamol and hot baths. She'd tried calling the hospital and her MW but after not getting an answer gave up and told herself not to be so silly. In the end her DH came home from work and drove her up to the hospital.

It turned out she was in labour and they said if she'd come sooner they could have stopped the labour but she had to deliver her DS there and then. He stayed in hospital until his due date in SCBU. My friend said there was a girl there who was in the exact same position as her who had been in labour for only a few hours and they managed to stop hers.

It's not impossible to go into early labour so I say that if you're getting these pains then go straight to the hospital and call your MW on the way - don't forget your notes.

Thank you, been getting niggles throughout the day, I'm home alone at the moment so have to wait till DP gets home as I can't go anywhere on my own due to blackouts, Only on my own this evening as I'm waiting for the crisis team to come out and see me for a talk.
