If wholemeal toast is what you want, I think wholemeal toast is what you should have. I'm not and have never been pregnant, but I believe your body can tell you what it needs. Whether or not you have a baby on board.

have something protein based. It'll stop you feeling hungry for longer. Lay off the wagon wheels as you'll be hungry again a minute after you've had a sugar rush.

Although I have just had one and really it wasn't very nice. honestly. bleurgh. Wink

I'm having a phase of everything on toast, usually wholemeal or granary (today it was bacon & egg on white, oops) current favorites are avocado, smoked salmon & scrambled eggs; hummus naice ham & cherry tomatoes; tinned mackerel in tomato sauce, yum! Think my body thinks I'm a bit low in 'good' oils!

Couple of weetabix should do the trick Grin especially if you add some chopped prunes/dried apricots Grin

Eat what you want, and switch to sanatogen

JarethTheGoblinKing · 21/08/2012 22:52

...and floradix

If you can stomach it, avocado is very good for you :)

Jareth, I agree about switching to Sanatogen! I spent two pregnancies taking Pregnacare & thought that pregnancy was causing constipation.

On this pregnancy, I started off on Sanatogen (because they were on offer) and I was fine. I switched to Pregnacare recently and within about 3 days I was constipated (and feeling sick again, strangely enough) so got some more Sanatogen and am now fine again. I can't believe it took me so long to make the link Blush

OP, sorry for the slight sidetrack there. Maybe toast with the Wagon Wheel afterwards?! Although I have a real craving for Wagon Wheels at the moment so I'm probably not the right person to ask!
