Stretch marks

Straw poll. If you got 'em, when did they appear (am ignoring stuff about body cream, i'm sure it might account for a tiny amount of the variation in getting them but I think tis mostly genes).

Am nearly 31 weeks. Am I going to erupt in the next 9?

At 39 weeks! Bugger. I'd did so well until then. However my dc was 9lb 13oz so I guess I had to get some.

So near yet so far

I got some about 31 weeks (now 33), all beneath my belly button. I might have had them earlier but I can't really see below my bump!

I am 29+5 and as yet have none, I put various creams on when I remember / can be bothered to.

I am fully expecting that I will erupt in stretchmarks anyday now although bump is reasonably small so I have a small amount of hope I may be lucky... But I doubt it...

Oh well, to be expected really :)

I don't have any at 35 weeks and haven't been using any creams... bump is reasonably modest so still hopeful. i think it's genetic anyway.

My sister in law got them at 41+5! Gutted.

A week before DD was born I was not impressed!

38+4 for DS1.
With DS2 I dont really remember - I was trying hard not to look. They were much much worse 2nd time though - horizontal on top of the vertical :(

1st pregnancy they turned up at 41 weeks . I was gutted but there was only one or two.

This time about 20 weeks and my entire bump looks like a tiger.

My mum got to 41+3 with me (and put on 4 stone) and similar for my sister and has no stretch marks... so I'm hoping I will be lucky...

Right at the very end for me. It's a combination of genes and a lot of other factors (your size, baby size, skin condition, age etc etc). You'll get them or you won't. I got about 9 million with dd, from my knees up to my boobs. With ds (much, much bigger bump), I got maybe 2 extra ones.

About 32 weeks.. spotted one then load more appeared fairly quickly.. all below belly button

Can't remember exactly when with DS, but it was very late on. I was sure I was going to get away with it, but I ended up with a belly like a bonfire!

I'm now 38 weeks with DC2, and have just noticed a couple of very slight red marks that are extensions of existing stretch marks. My bump has got very big and hard this last week, so I expect I'll get a few more before this baby is born.

Didn't really get any with DS1.
Noticed some on DS2's due date .
Currently 36 weeks with #3 and some cropped up last week, more than before but silvery not red, which is all I can ask I guess.

I know gutting...

I didn't put on much weight at all, I was all out the front, from behind I look 'normal' Which might not of help! Who knows. One of those things.

After they lifted Ds out the sunroof. Not a mark on me up til that point. Was horrified when I went for a shower.

From 36 weeks I got them below belly button. But I wish I'd taken a pic post birth to compare with how much they faded before I got pg again because I worried far too much. Only thing that made much difference to them was sit ups and firming cream - the green Loreal one. Nothing like bio oil did anything!

My friend who had twins and was one of those "still had a waist and looked normal from behind" types swears that she avoided getting stretchmarks by eating at least two avocados a week - she reckoned it was moisturising from the inside!

I am now determined to eat at least as many as she did!

im only 20 wks and theyare already here with avengeance... its my first.

I got none and gave birth on due date.

My sister got them at about 26 weeks iirc, but loads appeared quickly and then hardly any more for the rest of her pregnancy.
