DC2 should no better Had my 20 W scan today. Had a scan at 7 weeks as had previous MC then one at 10,12 and 18 weeks. Up to now all been fine.

Today the hospital worried me. They scanned me, very thoroughly pushing and things, to the point that it really hurt. The kept fussing over femur length, eventually got one they were happy with. After much ado they have referred me for another scan in 2 weeks as they couldn't see the cord, face an enough of the heart.

The heart was clearly beating, fluid was apparently where it should, and the lady eventually did say everything they could see was as it should be. However on the form the head circ was higher end of the middle
Line as was femur, abdo circ was on just over (like fractionally) the middle line and the trancerebellar diameter (?) was lower. My nuchal risk was 1:26591 are these indicators of downs or something?

Says on the summary fetus is an appropriate size with no anomalies or signs of aneuploidy (?)

I am now freaking out. Does anyone know if i should be? I feel pathetic but also worried that there is something wrong...

I am not a songrapher but it seems to me that what they are saying is that your little blighter wouldnt stay still or wouldnt get into a good position for them to do all of their measurements!!!

You have a liitle one who will not be moved!! Bless.
Great news is that you get to have another look at your baby in a couple of weeks...Envy

Thanks, i was pretty sure I was over reacting, but they kept me waiting ages and all the lines were off center..and they kept playing on the stuff they couldnt see, i expect it was annoyance! There was me thinking a second pregnancy I would be relaxed haha Grin

When I had a scan with my first dd, they were on the verge of giving up when she finally turned round. The sonographer did tell my why though, she said "HE isn't being very co-operative", to put me at ease, I had had a mmc before. Calling the baby HE put a seed in my mind, although sense told me she probably called them all he. When dd was born I did think, "are you sure?" . The scan took ages, and I was tipped and tilted every possible angle.

If it helps I had 6 scans after my 20 week scan because my son wouldn't play ball. I was tilted, tipped, shuffled, prodded and poked from every angle!

I am sure it will be fine, good luck with your next scan.
