Have just come back from an impromptu holiday for ten days in the British Virgin Islands..It has been absolutely fab and as I am in the start of my pregnancy (13 weeks today) I got to rest and just recharge my batteries for the autumn. I also had the opprotunity to swim with dolphins, and talk about using ultrasound to communicate...they were transfixed with my belly and the guide asked me if there might be a chance that I was pregnant, (we hadn't told anyone) and we said yes and he said, they detect that and always get interested and also quite protective when pregnant women gets in the water..these were wild dolphins that came into a specific bay in the afternoons as they tended to get fed there and interacted hugely with the people that were in the water..and absolutely humbling and amazing experience.
I then had my dating scan this morning and all looked great and it really made it much more real seeeing the little person in there, moving about a bit..no cause for concern in regards to the Nuchal translucency, and I am finally starting to feel less tired..now i just need to get a few bigger clothes as bump is becoming more and more defined and apart from sarongs and a few maxi dresses I hardly have anything that fits..Grin onwards and upwards as they say!!

Good luck for the rest of your pregnancy!

It was rather amazing, it just brings it home to me yet again how intuitive and intelligent animals can be...One of my horses is a stallion, and he have picked up on my pregnancy as well, being very "chatty" and very protective..I obviously belong to his herd and must have changed my smell or something..Grin

wow ! lovely lace that sounds like an amazing experience - I am feeling slightly jealous www.mumsnet.com/emo/te/2.gif . Just told DH that i need to go swimming with dolphins ha ha ! So exciting about scan and you will start to feel a little less tired now ....fingers crossed. I am 30 weeks now and after about 15 started to feel ALMOST normal again !! try not to go mad buying clothes just yet as you will probably find that you fill out quickly after about 20 weeks and then have to buy a whole bunch more - although its a good excuse to buy new clothes x
