I am currently very stressed at work combined with being 32 weeks pregnant with minor health issues related to the pregnancy ( low lying placenta awaiting scan and usual tiredness). I really feel if i could just calm down a little i would be much better able to cope at work only got 5 shifts left till i finish my job ( don't qualify for maternity leave) Anyone got any ideas or remedies to suggest to reduce my stress levels?

Oh, I'm just the same (inc. low lying placenta) Sad I think trying to take things one day at a time. Off load anything you can onto your partner if you have one; work out what the bare minimum you need to do each day, and just do that. Don't feel guilty. Get to bed as early as you can.

If you can work out what it is you're feeling so stressed about that will probably help too. Do you know where the stress is coming from?

I often go to sleep when i get home after an early shift and its mostly work stressing me out its a very stressful environment and extremely busy cant wait to finish now its getting desperate takes me at least an hour to calm down once i am home.

How much longer do you have at work? I've got 4 more weeks (3 day weeks) and I'm literally crossing days off the calendar. Can you plan a treat once a week?

Could you phone in sick for your last few shifts or would you not get paid? Could you speak to your line manager & explain how your feeling. If you finish in 5 shifts and then off should your work really be this stressful as you should be handing work over to whoever will be taking over when you finish. You need to protect yourself in whatever way you can as babies feel your stressed out vibes. Good luck, your almost there! Smile
