Toddler bag??

So I've got my hospital bags ready: one for me and one for baby but apparently I also need a bag for my toddler who is going to be look after someone (God knows who at the moment) while I'm in labour.

The question is: what to put in it?? I can't really put clothes and stuff, as the big day is probably in more than a month and frankly we don't have that many trousers, jumpers, pyjamas etc. So what else??

I am doing the same for my DDs, and I am not putting any clothes in till the last minute for the same reason.

So far, I am going to have already written a detailed list of what needs to go in, down to pants, hairbrush and bobbles and toothbrushes, as I figure I'll either be packing it properly once labour starts or DH will be doing it and he'll forget things.

I am also throwing in a box of chocs as a thank you to SIL for taking care of them for me.

whenhen you're so wise, i hadn't even thought about a bag for DS (i'm such a terrible mother)! i will be packing for him too now, thank you. off the top of my head i'm thinking at least one change of clothes, nighttime nappies, a few toys, colouring book etc. a bottle/carton of juice and a snack of some sort (the type that keeps) and pj's, toothbrush and a story book. the baby sitter (hopefully in laws or close friends) can take care of the rest.

i like the idea of the box of chocs red
