Feck I am bored of waiting!

I am 39 weeks pregnant and this last bit is SO boring! I have 2 DDs who are keeping me busy, but still feel very unmotivated to do anything.

I live 1.5h away from my family and oldest friends so don't want to go visit them so close to my due date. They all call or text regularly so I don't feel isolated in that sense. Just bloody bored.

Daytimes consist of entertaining DDs (both preschoolers) and then evenings are spent resting watching tv with DH. Baby stuff is all organised, I'm not even particularly excited about it arriving (not pnd or anything - I wasn't excited at the impending births of my DDs either, but madly in love with them both once they arrived).

Bored bored bored! Anyone else??

don't worry, baby will be here before you know it!

GrizzlyFrontBum · 19/08/2012 20:40

Shall I join you? I have two dd too (5 & 20 months)

I was due this weekend. No baby here yet.

Every fucker is calling to "check in"

Piss. Off.

redandyellowbits · 19/08/2012 20:40

I'll probably look back on this lazy time fondly in a few months although it doesn't feel like it now!

redandyellowbits · 19/08/2012 20:43

Yay! There's two of us at least! Everyone's texting me to tell me how excited they are...

Iita so hard to appreciate the down time before baby madness ensues again.

Do you know what you are having?

GrizzlyFrontBum · 19/08/2012 20:47

Nope - no idea do you??

I'm just exhausted. Not especially looking forward to labour & all this heats making me wonder if baby easier to look after in my belly. Never had a summer baby before !!

Are your feet swelling? My feet & calfs are HUGE

peeriebear · 19/08/2012 21:05

I'm 38wks tomorrow and have been very grateful for the shitty rainy summer weather! It's been horrible today, really REALLY humid and I've had a headache since I woke up. SPD is keeping me close to home (mostly on the sofa Blush) and the DDs (10 and 5) are largely having to entertain themselves.
Both DDs were fully overdue and induced though so not expecting this one for at least four weeks :( I am going to be the grumpiest woman at the school gates when school goes back, still pregnant, knowing that every single parent I meet is going to crow "Ain't you had that baby yet?" DOES IT FUCKING LOOK LIKE IT Angry

Giraffeears · 19/08/2012 21:07

Oh me too. 38 + 2 with first and so fed up. What I really want is to go out for a long stomping walk but it's too flipping hot in the daytime and living in the back of beyond with no street lights or pavements means it's not really safe once it's cooled down in the evening. Poor dh - mood swings started this weekend as well!!

Sparklesandglitter · 19/08/2012 22:31

Im 39 weeks and am more than ready to have this baby I never realised how uncomfy the last few weeks would be I'm praying PFB arrives in the next few days!

NeedlesCuties · 20/08/2012 08:39

Me too, me too!

Am 39+3 with DC2 and sooooo fed up waiting >drums fingers impatiently on desk<

DS (he is 2.5 years old) was born at 39 weeks so I expected the whole way through this pregnancy to have this baby at same time. Oh, how I am eating my words now.

Argh! Also, he was born in winter so I didn't have all the terrible swelling etc. This time my ankles are unreal and my feet are like water balloons!

Hurry. Up. Please!

TitsalinaBumSquash · 20/08/2012 08:43

I have 12 weeks until due date and I'm wishing it away! DS2 was born at 37 weeks do I'm praying this little guy makes an early appearance too (especially since he is due on DS2's birthday)

Very Envy of those of you who are 39 weeks. Grin

ArtyJennie · 20/08/2012 08:58

Im In denial that this is ever going to end. I'm 39+5. I'm so so fed up. I feel like life is on hold- just waiting. Dd is almost 5, I'm finding it really difficult to entertain her. She was 5 days late so I expect this one to be at least that. Last night was hellishly hot. I'm getting envious of all the people having their babies early! Bring it on!!!!

MrsHelsBels74 · 20/08/2012 09:00

I'm 35 weeks & bored! Finished work on Friday & looking for some R&R when son is at nursery on Thursday & Friday but that seems a life time away.

wannabedomesticgoddess · 20/08/2012 09:11

I have 10 weeks left. So Envy of all those nearly there. I just want this baby out so I can see what it looks like :o

DD was 10 days late. I really hope this one makes an earlier appearance.

GrizzlyFrontBum · 20/08/2012 09:12

its my due date

... mat leave officially starts today.... except im self employed, so Im entertaining the kids, dishwasher filling and asnswering customers emails....

OneOfMyTurnsComingOn · 20/08/2012 09:17

Are you me? Apart from the due date...

I have 2 DDs and live just over an hour and a half from family.

DC3 due in 7.5 weeks though, and I'm knackered. Suffering from what I think is SPD and no physio til 5th Sept :-(

Hope it happens soon for you, OP.

Fisharefriendsnotfood · 20/08/2012 09:25

I'm 30 weeks tomorrow with dc3 and totally had enough. Just want my baby now please Smile

OneOfMyTurnsComingOn · 20/08/2012 09:28

Isn't it funny how 30 weeks is so hard?i started feeling really fed up from then.

blondiep14 · 20/08/2012 12:58

I'm a bit behind, 36 weeks tomorrow, also with DC3. Am getting pretty fed up now, esp if I think I may have 6 weeks, not 4, to go.

I'm really struggling in this muggy heat. It's clouded over here now tho, hurrah!
Trouble is at least when the sun is out the DS's play in the garden. Soon as it gets 'dark' (cloudy!) I am on entertainment duty again.
I put on clean pj's after my shower this morning so technically I'm dressed but I really hope no-one pops in! They don't even meet in the middle as non-mat ones.

redandyellowbits · 20/08/2012 13:45

Holy crap! I was expecting a nice long wait, I have a hospital appt today and they have told me I need a c section on Weds! So I have gone from bored to panic (don't know why I am panicking, baby was due on weds anyway).

The wait is still boring though :)

blondiep14 · 20/08/2012 13:47

Wow! How very exciting redandyellow
2 more sleeps!

whatsoever · 20/08/2012 14:55

Room for another whinger? 33 1/2 weeks and fed up! I am counting down the days until i finish work (2 weeks on Friday) as I am knackered and just want to veg on the sofa. But I have a horrible feeling that, iritable as I am, I will get bored of vegging and moan about that as well!

I nearly cheered the rain yesteday as it meant I slept last night as it was less muggy. Well, in between the Braxton Hicks and getting up to go for a wee x3 I slept, anyway.

Can't wait to meet the baby, but dear heavens, pregnancy has not been fun and I haven't even had anything major like SPD or hyperemesis to moan about (especially since the meralgia parathetica has all but gone).

Ambi · 20/08/2012 20:16

SHurray Red it's moving for you. I'm 39w today and totally fed up. DD is 4 and I'm struggling to keep her occupied apart from TV which I don't like doing. I'm so tired I want to sleep all the time. I've had enough and the next cheery voice that tells me "it's not long now" will have violent reprocussions. DH is working 72hr weeks due to staff shortages and is shattered so is wishing this arrival as much as me.
Oh well, DD is off to MILs on Wed, we're off to the cinema after a wax and pedicure I've booked so it's not all bad!!

glittershoes · 20/08/2012 21:30

Totally understand. I am 41 weeks tomorrow and just want to cry. I had a midwife appointment today and have been told that 'I just need to wait'. So very frustrating!

So sick of people ringing and texting and facebooking me. I even had someone say 'Have you still not managed to have that baby?' as if it is my fault and purposefully not giving birth. Not good for my sanity as am already feeling like I have some how failed. Silly I know.

Just need this baby to come now!

redandyellowbits · 21/08/2012 09:36

Hope today is the day for some of you at least! I am nervous about tomorrows c-section but glad to know there is an end in sight.

Trying to enjoy my last day of pregnancy but everything is so dam tiring!

aamia · 22/08/2012 09:12
