Anyone use Clinique 3 - step regimen whilst pregnant? My skin gone really strange and don't know whether it just pregnancy or the products I am using.

it will be your pregnant skin... not using clinique personally but my normal creams lotions and potions are sidelined for now as they have started to make me itch or cause excema... i switch to something else and after a few days the problem starts again... same with shower gels and bath products too... i have started to use the palmers cocoa butter range of stuff.. the butter itself.. the stretch mark cream and the firming cream and Bio oil.... they are suiting at the mo but better not speak too soon.

What do you use on your face?

either the Bio Oil or the Palmers firming cream, i still suffer from mild acne at 31yrs and i am aware of the need to preserve my ageing skin so i have to be careful with products on my face in case they cause a spot flare up.
I wash with a TeaTree based cleanser, forget the toning bit as it dried out my skin too much and give my skin a good moisturize or mini massage as my fella calls it. Once every other day i give my face a good exfoliate. My skin is glowing and looks healthy now as opposed to the dry sore patches or even greasy skin i had at first. You sound as though you look after your skin which is what i do' as my gran used to say 'look after what you got and it will look after you' and i got worried that my skin care routine had gone to pot because of pregnancy, but it has settled down now, cost a bit to find products which suited though... ask the girls on the clinique counters too ... my perfumes even smell different at the moment too on my skin.... it is just chemical changes etc and i am hoping it goes away after baby is born and my body settles back down.

Thought I might try Dr Hauschka products or clarins as their web sites are quite helpful. However Dr Hauschka products that they recommend comtain lots of herbs like Anthyllis vulneraria and calendula something or other and witch hazel as well as peanut oil in everything. How can we know if these things are safe to put on your skin?

i use clinique 3 step every day and my skin is lovely with it. i used a different moisturiser and a scrub on holiday and had spotty skin for about two weeks. i do suffer from eczema (hands, legs, arms, body) since becoming pregnant.

Which combination are you using lilac bump? and do you use a seperate moisturiser after the dram. diff. one? and how many weeks pregnant are you?

I am 25 weeks pregnant and skin only just started going funny. I use number 1 toner, extra mild bar soap and dram. diff. moisturiser.

LilacBump · 25/03/2006 10:21
