Stomach bug??

I'm 26+2 and last night had horrendous stomach pains. They started from the bottom of my bump and spread up and came in waves. Sometimes my bump went hard as well but not every time (and get lots of BH so was probably just coincidental). I knew they weren't contractions as this is DC2 (although DS is 8 so it's been a while), but they got so bad that at one point I did start to consider going to the hospital.

This morning I've had an upset stomach. Not badly but I've been quite constipated during this pregnancy and it was a lot looser than it has been (sorry if TMI). So I'm assuming that it's either a stomach bug or something I ate. Baby is moving as normal this morning.

Has anyone else had something similar whilst pregnant? Sure it's all fine but can't help worrying.

Also, having experienced that pain last night I'm now really scared of labour again:-( xx

I've had the same thing for the last 24 hours - horrible stomach cramps last night, was terrified it was my uterus (I'm 19 wks) but it got better after a bit. My stomach still feels really sore today.

I had an overripe plum and one of those Innocent Veg Pots for lunch - I think it just might have been my digestive system working overtime on lentils and veg. Fingers crossed, anyway.

Don't worry about a stomach bug harming your baby - baby is well protected and if s/he's moving normally you're probably fine. My sister was hospitalised with a horrible stomach bug at about your stage and it didn't affect the baby at all.

Thanks for replying.

I'm also still quite sore today but figure it's all been pulled a bit by the cramps last night.

Glad everything was ok for your sister - its reassuring to heard. And good luck to you xx

Thanks!! Hope you start feeling better! My tum's a bit sore still but hopefully it's just that overripe plum....
