16 weeks, still being sick, crying and leaking wee (sorry for over sharing)

I definitely haven't suffered the way some people have with sickness in this pregnancy but it hasn't been amazing so far either.

I'm still vomiting in the morning despite doing all the things they tell you;
Cup of tea first thing
Small banana
Rich tea biscuit

As soon as I have 'lined' my stomach out it comes. I am exceptionally bad at being sick, very noisy and for some reason I always get emotional Blush This morning I was vomiting, crying and (tmi) leaking wee all at the same time.

I seem to perk up after this and then hit a wall around 8/9 pm when I just feel like I can't stay up any longer and go to bed. Poor dh!

I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself - please tell me this will soon end.

it will soon end (hopefully) OP.
perhaps you could speak to your GP about medication to control the nausea, i was sick all day long until around 20 weeks with both my DC, the second time around the GP gave me some anti sickness tablets and they were amazing! i actually began to enjoy the pregnancy.

i think they were a form of insomnia medication but that was three years ago and things may have moved on.

whatever happens, it wont be long until you will be holding that bump in your arms and EVERYTHING will be worth it, forgiven and forgotton Smile

Leaking wee can be indicative of a uti, have you been checked by a mw recently? Hope you feel better soon x

Sounds familiar flip flop. I took pills to control my sickness. I am a dramatic vomiter, lots of wailing and groaning. Mine did stop at 16 weeks so you might be nearly there.

You poor thing. Do go and chat to your GP, there are safe drugs you can take nowadays to control the nausea. This will end, but if you have gone past the 12w mark you might be looking at longer nausea symptoms, so it is worth investigating what your GP can do to help.

My sickness lasted until about 24w, and the nausea for pretty much the whole pregnancy and I remember being a state at about 16, 18w because it wasn't getting better. But it did get better eventually, and with the drugs it was manageable. And I actually felt very healthy for the last month or two of pregnancy when other women were starting to struggle - just not feeling nauseous was amazing, it gave me a whole lease of life!

It is awful, but it will end at some point. Hope you feel better soon.

I'm so sorry. I was sick from 10-16 weeks and like you, I sobbed every time I vomited - which sometimes meant I was crying all day! Mine ended about 16 exactly, but it could go to 18, 20 or further. I'd see your GP at this point.

Fingers crossed for you!

Sorry, meant I was sick from 6-16 weeks - too long!! Did it start early for you? Explain to the GP that you've suffered long enough. Hoping you are near the end of it though!
