Scan at 6+4 shows sack and yolk but nothing else. Any hope?

I had and early vaginal scan today but nothing showed up in the sac, just the yolk.

Doc said my dates could be wrong (lmp was 1st July so I'm going on that but cos I've just come off pill I have no idea how long my cycle is), and to see what a scan in a week shows.

But surely I won't suddenly get a fetal pole and hb in a week? How early does a scan have to be for nothing to show up?
He said it's 50/50 chance but is he just being kind? Or expecting me to mc naturally in the next few days?

Has anybody had this? Or have any ideas? I've come to terms that it's v unlikely I'm having a baby in April :( but I hate the waiting and am worried I could take weeks to fully mc.

I had a scan at 5+6 and was just sac and yolk, was told it was totally normal and had another scan at 8+2 and saw the hb. Now 36+2.

If your lmp was 1/7 then the earliest you could have ovulated would be around the 7-10 July. Could be as late as 20th? Which then puts you somewhere 5 weeks??

They don't and cannot fib to You. It's totally possible and no news is good news. The waiting is the killer hang there x all the luck in the world

Scan at 5 weeks showed an empty sac.

Scan at 7 weeks showed sac, yolk, and HB :)

I think it's v likely I could've ovulated later actually. We barely dtd in July - about 5 days before guessed ov date (15th) and few days after. Which is why I was so surprised to get BFP on 31st July. So I guess I could've ov'd late and my BFP could've been an early one...? Which would make me how many wks? It's so confusing.

Also, I was still on the mini pill while I had my last period (came off if few days after) but as you can ov on mini pill I didn't know it could make a difference.

God, I know I'm grasping as straws and desperate. It's exhausting trying to predict the outcome :( Don't want to get my hopes up but can't help it!

well I was told that there was 'almost no chance' that my pregnancy would continue at a scan at 6 and 5. One week later there was a little heartbeat and everything. Now I'm 17 weeks and everything is going perfectly. I think a few days out makes a massive difference at such an early stage.

So I'd say a 50/50 chance isn't bad at all

Well I had my scan this morning which showed a fetal pole and heartbeat! SO relieved :) My dates were wrong and I'm a week behind.

I know how you feel - I have an early scan booked for 6+2 (have had 1 mc and 1 prem ds) so I'm a bundle of nerves waiting for that.
