Hi,

My gorgeous Fiance who is currently on the Implant, recently started feeling pregnancy like symptoms such as :- Morning sickness, sickness during the day, vomitting, tender breasts, tender nipples, white like milky substance coming from her nipples, more than ever before, mood swings, cravings for certain foods, dislike for foods she once liked, constipation, fatigue.

So firstly we did a pregnancy test which came back negative, then a few days later we did a clear blue test, and it came bag with a very faded single line. She also woke to find blood on her sheets this morning also.

Is it possible she isn't producing enough HGC to show that she could be pregnant?.

Any advice please?.

A faint line is positive. Could be early and the line will get darker with re testing.

It was with a clear blue test, it says that the + said means its positive. All she had was a single faded line.

how many days was it between the two pregnancy tests that she has done?

henda11 · 16/08/2012 13:24

about 3 or 4 dats.

Get an easy to read pregnancy test - one where any sort of a line clearly means yes, iyswim, and/or visit the GP?

The level of HCG doubles (roughly) every 48 hours, so it would be possible to get a negative and then four days later get a positive pregnancy test when the level had built up more.

However, if the level was low enough for the first test to be negative, it would not account for the pregnancy symptoms she had experienced that led her to take that test.....

I don't know anything about the implant, so i don't know if that complicates things in any way either by causing or masking symptoms.

To be sure on the PG front, i'd buy a two pack of Clear Blue Digital, use them both, on different days, using first morning urine. If you get a positive with the first test, it will indicate how long since conception it estimates based on the HCG level it has picked up. (You can look on the Clear Blue Website to see what actual levels these are).

Based on the first test, use the second to check if things are progressing. eg if it says 1-2 weeks, wait and check the next test says 2 weeks etc.

I have had a faint PG test that was faint becuase it was an early MC, so with the bleeding this is also a possiblity. My second follow up test suggested that this was what was going to happen, so at least i was prepared.

I have also had faint lines that have got stronger and stronger, so i'm afraid at this stage it is a waiting game, although i do hope someone with knowledge of the implant can also advise you. Good luck to you both!

How is your fiance today, and how are you?

If I think I've read you correct all she got was the - of the + if that is the case the test always has the - part its the other line that makes it positive
