was i pregnant???

hi all.
A week after my period was due, I did two tests and both were positive. This would make me 5 weeks.
I've since had what felt and looked like a slightly heavy period, and now a negative test.
What the hell happened? Am trying to get in to see my doctor but its ridiculous trying to get an appointment.

Really sorry you're going through this, sounds like you've had a chemical pregnancy, which is just another name for a miscarriage before 5 weeks. It is very very common, but most people never know its happened. I had one in may. I knew I was pg for a week and had started to be excited and plan so I know how distressing it is. My consolation was that at leat I knew sperm could meet egg and implant. I'm now just 5.5 weeks and pretty nervous but full of symptoms so hopeful too.
A cp doesn't mean there's anything wrong, it's just when the embryo isn't healthy enough to carry on.
