An unexpected bonus of being pg

I went swimming today and as usual there were a couple of men who couldn't have a girl going faster than them and tried to race me. The immense satisfaction I felt when lapping them was compounded by the probably imagined shocked and confused expressions on their faces when I got out and gave them a full view of a 7 month bump. Oh yes. Childish and competitive, moi?

I once carried a bike across the lobby at work while 8m pg but it was one of those superlight affairs.that t'proffessionals use. People were Shock at me carrying a bike wirh a magoosive bump in one hand.

In retrospect, it would have been nice if one of them.could offer some help by hey ho.

We were tidying up after playgroup and I went to carry the end of a table with another mum and about 4 mums jumped it with "you can't carry that! Let me do it" even though I am almost sure it was lighter than my DS who I regularly carry around.

I was also given the last brownie as apparently there are "two of you in there" Grin

Gnocchi you obviously stunned them with your superwoman strength Wink

Ozzie we have about 12 steps leading up to our front door and last week DH saw that I was unloading the food shopping from the car, very kindly opened the door to meet me, and then went back and sat down on the sofa to watch the Olympics Shock It is so much different second time round!

Every couple of days I bring in the milk for work, usually 3 or 4 2-litre bottles. Now, I'm a big strong girl and perfectly capable of carrying the bag but even before I got pg, our 72-year old handyman kept asking me if I could manage and trying to take them off me. It was all I could do to keep hold of the bag this morning! It actually really annoys me. I'm not disabled!! I've just told him straight, that when I want help I'll ask for it!
