Is it normal for food aversions to disappear after 15ish weeks?

First baby and I worry constantly! I worry if I have a day when I don't feel sick as it might mean something is wrong.

Anyway, since discovering I was pregnant, I totally went off coffee and chocolate (having previously been a BIG fan) I couldn't tolerate the thought, never mind the taste of either.

On Sunday after lunch I randomly thought oh I would love a coffee! It's weird as I really couldn't stand it over the last weeks.

Today I have been happily munching on wispa bites and loving them.

Does this sound normal?

Hiya, I couldn't even stand the smell of tea, coffee and chocolate during my first pregnancy, let alone touch them, and this lasted right up until I gave birth, worse luck. But this time I went off the same things and at around 16/17 weeks caught myself eating my son's easter eggs ..... oops!!! I can also drink tea and coffee, but only in small doses. So, it does happen Smile.

normal for me!

My cravings and aversions have been changing week by week. It's making supermarket shopping very difficult!

Sounds completely normal. I had a very narrow set of foods I could tolerate during first trimester, but now, at 21 weeks, I'm back to being able to eat almost anything and don't have any real cravings either.

From what I've read it's normal, something to do with the baby using the placenta from around 14 weeks, it's usually when our sickness goes too.

I subsisted almost entirely on Mini Cheddars, tuna and grapefruit juice when I was expecting DD.

I FINALLY was able to drink a proper cup of tea (1 a day caffeinated, more if decaf!) after 16 weeks! Most of my aversions have gone! hurrah.

I went off tea, coffee and chocolate until week 20 when I started craving a cup of tea and chocolate biscuit!!

Pinkflipflop - YES! I am a complete chocoholic, but went off chocolate completely from w4 to w16 with DS, and also with the one on board at the moment. It's such a relief when I can eat chocolate again! Grin

I don't generally drink tea or coffee so wouldn't know if I have aversions to those as well, although I know that they're common aversions.

Seems to be the only craving/aversion I have, the chocolate.
