I had my daughter 18 months ago spontaneously at 32weeks... I'm now 11 weeks pregnant with my second and just wondered if anyone has had/knows someone that has any experiences of how the second pregnancy went for them?? Any advice/info appreciated Smile xxx

I don't have any experience of this myself, but if you look or ask on the Premature Birth topic, you should be able to find people with similar experiences.

This topic is hiding under Being a Parent - you have to click on more to see it.

Hope all goes well with your pregnancy xxx

A friend of mine had her first baby spontaneously at 28 weeks, but with her second she went to 39 weeks, so that's positive!

With my first I went into spontaneous labour at 33 weeks, managed to stall it for a week but then I suddenly developed pre-eclampsia and had DS at 34 weeks.

I am now 15 weeks pregnant with my second, and am being closely monitored. I am under consultant care (due to previous pre-term labour, pre-eclampsia and a couple of other long-term health conditions), and met my consultant after my 12 week scan. I'll be having growth scans about every month after 20 weeks to check on baby's growth. (And my blood pressure and urine will be closely monitored due to previous pre-eclampsia).

You will be well looked after :) I would ask your consultant about possibly checking the length of your cervix at your 20 week and later scans, as I believe a short cervix can be an indicator for premature labour.

Good luck with your pregnancy!
