I'm 29 weeks and I'm disturbed by how much I'm sweating. It's disgusting!! It's been very warm today, but even so. I've even been sweating in my groin, leaving sweat marks on my Knicks blush Surely this isn't right?

Me too & I am only 10 weeks -apparently it's normal, I hate it Sad

emmalou82 · 09/08/2012 18:02

sweating, increased hair, spots, bloating, heartburn, burping, chunky legs, stretchmarks. All part of the 'joys' of pregnancy. it's like someone decided we didn't feel insecure enough and that we needed to look ugly too!

greenbananas · 09/08/2012 19:24

I'm getting this too, but didnt realise it was a symptom of pregnancy. I thought it was just because I have got so very fat, it's soooo hot, and my thighs are rubbing together when I walk.

Never mind, when our babies are born, we will lose all these nasty sweaty fat feelings Smile

me to and and with emmalou's symptoms and with dermographism. i'm disgusting Sad. thank goodness this baby will be the best thing ever to make up for it all!

Having a sweaty minky is by far the most disgusting symptom I've experienced in this pregnancy... i feel smelly let alone actually being smelly.

Notgrownupinmyhead · 09/08/2012 20:39

Ive gotten increasingly sweaty. Under my busters especially. FIT.

Spice17 · 09/08/2012 20:54

Under boob sweating here too. My pride has totally gone, so I merely say 'Oops sweaty underboob!' and point at it whilst shovelling more cake in my mouth at work Blush

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 09/08/2012 21:02

Here is a story to cheer you up ladies, come chortle at my expense Grin

I was overdue during the hottest July on record and i was standing in a hot kitchen with the oven on, cooking the dinner. I heard a dripping sound and wondered where it was coming from, I looked down and saw that it was coming from me. 'yippee' I thought, 'my waters have gone'.

If only. It was underboob sweat that had run around the sides of my bump, met below my bump then dripped between my legs (I was wearing a skirt) and splatted on the floor Blush

Not one of my most attractive moments.

Has anybody mentioned the post partum night sweats to you yet?....

Sastra · 09/08/2012 21:35

Oh dear Spice and Moveit, hilarious!!

Oh god and I've just seen that - what are post partum night sweats?? Surely to Christ there can't be more physical discomfort after DDs disembarkation??

I'd heard about the night sweats post partum from my sister. I'd desperately hoped she was joking. She's not is she.... oh joy!

Your pregnant body accumulates lots of water; swelling, increased blood volume etc, it then has to get rid of it once you have delivered. So what with the extra water and a potent mix of hormones, you get night sweats and do the biggest wee's EVER. I have often thought the night sweats must be akin to menopausal night sweats.

Spice17 · 10/08/2012 09:00

Is it weird that I'm looking forward to big wee's? Grin

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 10/08/2012 09:30

They are very satisfying Grin , unlike the ones in pregnancy that feel like you have a full bladder yet only an eggcup worth of wee comes out Hmm

Notgrownupinmyhead · 10/08/2012 10:43

I also (last pg) drooled in my sleep and woke up with it pooled on my chest. Help me now! Does anyone elses boob sweat smell of salt n vinegar later on in the day? Blush

Spice17 · 10/08/2012 11:20

Just recalled another sweat related incident.

Was Bridesmaid at my mums wedding last Sat and was doing up her corset dress, sweat was trickling down my legs so much I thought I'd either weed a bit or my waters were breaking early! I then felt pretty manky and skuzzy all day. I have no pride left at all now :)

Loving this thread. I always had good legs and have lots of lovely lk Bennett shoes. Can wear any off them as have gone from having nice narrow size 7 feet up to huge wide size 8s. I'm flapping around like a duck.

Not wearing skirts any more as my cankles are so bad. Now wearing my Alfred Hitchcock-esq over the bump maternity trousers that end nearly at my chin. Someone in my team today was trying on a new dress that she had bought. I nearly wept. Will I ever have a waist again?

shinyblackgrape · 10/08/2012 20:34

Oh yes. And tights make my foof sweat. And laughing or coughing makes me nearly wet my pants. I'm convinced I smell of wee

Another sweaty Betty here. And I smell different 'down there' which I find really ick.

I've always been a small busted girl with underwired bras, so bigger boobs and less supportive bras coupled with humid weather have really driven an exciting time in under-boob sweating.

At least my trusty Sure maximum protection deodorant hasn't given up on me so no sweaty pits (yet).

Friend who gave birth recently warned me of the post-birth sweatathon. On the plus side, if you sweat like a bastard for a few days, the weight drops off, so it ain't all bad.
