Fish and chips
Bacon
Perfume and strong sprays

What about you? Or if not pregnant now, what used to?

I've been much better this time, but with my DD:

Vinegar
Other people's smoke (could smell out which car in traffic jam had smoker in it)
Bins of all sorts
Some perfumes
The fridge
The dishwasher
Petrol
Meat aisle in the supermarket

Oh, it was like being a sniffer dog! Grim. It got better, but traces went through the pregnancy and afterwards.

Sense of smell is definately heightened.

good lord changing nappies. i thought last time my morning sickness was bad but at least then i didnt have to sort out piles of poo every day. urgh i have to stop breathing and try not to puke up all over my little girl. bleurgh. sorry!

I work in vets A LOT, the smell of a hoover full of dog fur, hedgehogs, taking pregnacare (d'oh! it even says to take it after/with dinner) eating, BO.

I seem to have half an hour of wretching after each meal, but it isn't bothering me at all. Bit grimmy, but not being sick, so just get on with things alone! Driving on the M40 having a little wretch this morning, I hope no one saw me doing my jaw thrusts hehe.

MrsPaynie · 08/08/2012 20:34

Weetabix did it for me! And everyone morning it's what DD would ask for for breakfast!

mrsbugsywugsy · 08/08/2012 22:01

stress seemed to make me worse
being hungry
also the smell of bacon cooking (am veggie so its not my favourite anyway)

SkinnyMarinkADink · 08/08/2012 22:48

Pretty much everything has the power to make me puke this time round,

can't eat noodles or anything with any grease in it what so ever.

Am prescribed sickness tablets now just to be able to eat.

i have huge cravings for capri sun, however Robinson squash makes me sick. very strange!

theTramp · 08/08/2012 23:25

Weirdly I feel nauseous if I don't eat regularly and I feel nauseous if I eat too much. Trying to get the balance right is proving tough. I am realy looking forward to the end of this phase.

When I was pregnant with my DS we went to Kubla Khans for my hubbys birthday, it's one of those restaurants where you pick all your own raw meat from a table & then they cook it in front of you. . Have never set foot in it again since & the thought of the smell of all the raw meat makes me gag even now!!

Being tired. Being hungry.

The fridge. The toilet (even though it's kept clean)

The smell of booze on people.

Processed food.

PeshwariNaan · 09/08/2012 08:15

I'm mostly over it now (fingers crossed!) but these are the things that made it worse or triggered it...

Sweet things/ anything with artificial sugar in.
Citrus fruits.
Fried foods/ fatty foods.
Going into the kitchen.
A certain type of flowering plant around here that smells like rotten lilies (made me want to vomit in the park many times).
The smell of our drains (hurrah for bleach!).
Husband's breath.
Garlic.
Smell of catbox.
Any scented bath product.
Cigarette smoke.
Dirty laundry.
Smells coming from restaurants/
Food shops and grocery stores (look/ odor), particularly those Asian ones with the seafood sitting on the pavement.
Perfume.

As you can tell, I was really sick and found the best place for me by far was in bed with a bucket and a pack of cream crackers.
