Im 22+ weeks with my 3rd and for last week or so I have been getting searing/burning/tearing pain in my belly especially around belly button. It usually gets progressivly worse until the evening where it crescendos into agony and sometimes can barely stand up straight.

I have a 3yr old and 20month old and both are quite demanding climbing all over me and I have to lift them either onto toilet or into highchair/cot etc... Im sure thats why I've strained myself but its pretty unavoidable.

And also this last week i have had a cough and whenever I cough it hurts so bad I have to hold my belly....and having hayfever and sneezing constantly hurts it too. Basically I'm in alot of pain all day :(

So I'm thinking of finding a good belly support belt/wrap/band whatever its called. Alot of the ones I see on amazon and ebay are for helping with back pain which I'm thankfully not having too much trouble with yet. And they also have pretty bad reviews!

Can you buy or borrow from the nhs? I feel embarrassed to go doc or midwife as I feel they will just think I'm whingeing about a common preg niggle.

Just in alot of pain and wondering how to survive next 17 weeks!
Whats you're experiences?

I think you should go and see the doctor and get it properly looked at. Being in that much pain is not a pregnancy niggle. I've had SPd since 16 weeks and saw gp who put me on to a physio which has been fab and she has recommended the exact type of belt to get and also given lots of advice On other things I can do to help. The physio said she was glad i'd seen someone early on as it's hopefully going to prevent bigger problems later on.

Yours sounds different to the pain I'm getting which is why you need to get it checked so they can work out what's causing the pain and the right things to do about it. Hope it feels better soon :)

Ps and I'm a person which hates going to dr's but I'm glad I did!
