When do you class swollen ankles and feet as a problem?....

Basically the question above...

I'm back at work this week after 2 weeks leave so have been on my feet more and it has been warm but my feet have ballooned today! Normally have slightly swollen ankles but this is worse. I'm 32+4.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Get your BP checked just in case Smile

I had this last week, was on phone to mw yesterday anyway and she said it's just the heat (23+4, very simple pg)

I slept with my feet on a pillow last night and they've gone down now :)

just propped mine up on a pillow now so hopefully that will help PurplePidjin...thanks!

SammyB30, I have a growth scan on Friday so think they will check it then...hope thats not leaving it a bit late.

I'm sure Friday will be fine, just as long as you feel ok. Good luck! Smile

I had this with DD and it is a combination of the heat and being in your 3rd trimester. I sat with my feet in a bucket of cold water then raised them (while watching TV). I got it worst when I walked a lot. Mention to your midwife but it is pretty normal.

I believe it is only a problem if associated with high blood pressure and/or protein in your urine. On its own it is not a problem.

They need to be above your heart, and i found it only worked when i propped them up for a long period - half an hour on the dashboard of the car on the way to visit SIL just gave me pins and needles Wink
