can anyone explain the 'tog' thing for sleeping bags?

hey was just looking to buy a couple of grobags online and found a really lovely one but it is only available in '1 tog'.

is this more of a summer sleeping bag? my babies will be using them in aut / winter.

Yeah, summer is 1 tog then winter a 2.5 tog. My LO will be a sept baby and we've bought 2.5 tog ones. If you really like it you could get it in a bigger size so baby goes into it in the summer.

Basically, 2.5 tog is for 16-20° room, 1.0 tog is 20-24° room and 0.5 tog for 24-28° room. I have used a grobag egg in both my DOc's rooms when they were tiny which was very useful.
