Haven't felt baby respond to sound yet

I'm 34 weeks and baby is regularly moving, kicking and squirming, and I often feel him respond to the pressure of my hand on the bump. But I haven't felt him respond to sound yet. People tell me how their babies would jump at loud noises, and although I regularly jump at things (like the telephone ringing!) I haven't felt the baby jump yet. Also, someone who is about a month behind me went to the cinema and said her baby really didn't seem to like the experience as it kept being disturbed by the loud noises. But I had been to see the same film and although the baby moved a little it was nothing out of the ordinary and not correlated to the loud bits.

Is this anything to worry about or do some babies just not respond to sounds? I am hoping this is just my first pfb moment with the baby!

My DS never gave a hoot about sound when he was in the womb, and now loves a bit of music. Every baby is different.

I'm 33 weeks and not felt baby respond to sounds either really. She def doesn't jump at all, although she does become a bit more active when DH is around and chatting (he has a very deep voice so easy for her to hear I reckon)

DD never did or did in a way which wasnt different enough to her other movements for me to tell.

Thanks all, that's very reassuring. I'll assume that our baby is just not bothered about sounds yet. It must sound pretty muffled in there anyway!
