Hi. I read today that at last there is a new simple blood test for Downs. The article was written by Clair Bates at the MailOnline. The new test has been given the go ahead in Germany, Switzerland and other countries. But us English folk are being denied this new long awaited test because in England the Down Syndrome Association have taken the matter to the European Court of Human Rights to stop us having the choice. My sister nearly lost a baby having amniocesis and lots of little babies are put at risk through CVS. If we want this test it should be up to us. It is our human right to have it. This matter should be out in the open. I know many people think its wrong to test for Downs Syndrome but alot of us would take this simple test and not risk our pregnancy with invasive tests if we could just have a blood test. I so hope others think the same. Why should the Downs Syndrome folks dictate to us. Flossy.
