pressure on bump after weeing

I have been getting a feeling that my bump feels tighter or is pushing down after I have been for a wee, kind of hard to explain but has anyone else experienced this? It's not painful as such but it's very uncomfortable.

I am 21+3 and have had it for the past week now.

Don't know if it's related but I had to get checked out by MW at hospital last week as I was getting pains I couldn't ignore low down in my bump, she said baby was fine in there and they couldn't really explain it but to rest up.

It's a really strange sensation, sometimes feels like bump is tightening by itself. mostly when sitting or standing but if I lay down it seems to ease off. Bit worried.

Any advice/anyone else had this?

im getting this it seems to happen when ive been holding it in.

This is not much help, but 30 weeks and I have had this for a few weeks now.

I just assumed it was part and parcel of the many delights of pregnancy....

Next at midwife next week, so will ask then and try and post when I have

Again, no answer as to what it is, but I'm 23 weeks and get a similar feeling. It's a pressure after going for a wee, almost as if the bump/baby is readjusting itself. Not pain, just discomfort and it doesn't last long.

Sounds like Braxton Hicks?

TheRetroOwl · 06/08/2012 16:42

I thought it was the baby moving and getting comfy again after using my full bladder as a trampoline! I know the sensation you're referring to and usually say it's the baby 'having a swish about'. I sometimes get a really painful bladder if I've held it for a while; again, it seems like it might just be the baby getting into position again.

I think you are probably all feeling early Braxton hicks! Its a wierd feeling like your tummy is tight like you have support tights on pressing down? You start to notice about this time as your baby is starting to fill the uterus more.

Depending on what horrors junior decides to inflict on me that day, I get this before or after going for a wee. Or sometimes after standing, after being sat own for a long time.

I'd taken it to be the baby lying a certain way coupled with gravity for maximum discomfort Hmm

Runningblue · 06/08/2012 22:28

Yes I have it, took it to be the way the baby is lying, coupled with less space for bladder. Not necessary painful more like a pressing down, or feeling bursting for wee and little coming out. But not an infection, sure of it.
Oh pregnancy int it marvellous?!

I'm only 9 weeks today but I have that every morning when I wake up at 4am to pee... as soon as I finish, it feels really tight and like there's pressure. Feels almost like a stitch but in my uterus!!

Is it weird to be feeling that so early, considering my baby is only the size of a blob at the moment??? Worried now!!
