Bfp but been drinking...worried....

I had a mc in May and have been ttc since, with erratic cycles. Last AF was 6 weeks ago - I started poas at cd28, and was getting bfn but AF still didn't arrive, so I have been assuming I've not been ovulating and not being as careful as I would otherwise have been with alcohol. I haven't got completely drunk, but there have been a few nights in the last couple of weeks when I've had 2-3 glasses of wine. I got bfp this afternoon and am now worried about the booze...technically I'm 6 weeks by dates but really I don't think I'm that far along as I had a bfn three days ago - I think my cycles are just irregular. My head is saying I won't have done any damage but I'm still worrying...obviously I won't be drinking from now onwards, but it's hard not to panic!

I was really worried about similar stuff - apparently the baby doesn't get anything from you for the first few weeks - I was told about 6-8 weeks before it starts getting stuff across the placenta. Before that it is contained so nothing you consume will have reached it. That's what i was told

There's no way that you will have done any harm drinking that amount at this early stage. However, best thing to do is call your GP tomorrow for reassurance - they will soon put your mind at rest. Smile

You have to be drinking substantially more than that to have done any significant harm. Your GP will just reassure you that things will be fine. Don't worry.

The day before I tested positive, I drank a whole bottle of Dubrowka Polish sipping vodka. A whole bottle, to myself. Don't worry, really.
(It was a Christmas present, it was over a whole day and I love the stuff. And I've had barely a sniff of the barmaids apron through the rest of the pregnancy)
