Swollen hands/feet and sore joints

Is this normal? I know swelling is, I'm not used to swelling up but I think I'm well within normal range although I'm struggling to get my wedding ring on (might be a bit of weight gain too) Thing is my joints are a little bit sore, difficult to describe, not all the time, I guess they feel more stiff than anything else. Is this linked to the swelling? What can I do about it?

How far along are you? Normal pregnancy swelling is down to water retention, and the sore joints could just be the ligaments loosening up in preparation for the birth. I had to give up wearing my rings for the last month or so of pregnancy; I think that's fairly normal. Extreme and/or sudden swelling can be a symptom of pre-eclampsia though, so give your mw a call if you're worried about ut.

worried about it*, not ut!

Oh yeah, sorry I'm 33 weeks so not a huge amount of time left. The swelling started during the very hot weather and just hasn't gone down, its my hands and feet rather than face so not too worried about pre-eclampsia (I was before a researched a little, plus had wee done on monday and all was fine)
